Plant saplings and take resolution for protection - PR Minister Dr. Narottam Mishra

Bhopal: Public Relations Minister Dr. Narottam Mishra and Mineral Resources Minister Rajendra Shukla today inaugurated School Chale Abhiyan in Rewa district. Both the ministers distributed text books to school children and applied Tilak. On the occasion, programme for Bichhiya river protection and environment protection was also organised. The ministers inspected deepening and cleanliness work at Bichhiya river continuing for three years. District in-charge Minister and Industries Minister gave message for environment protection by plantation after Bhoomi-Pujan of river beautification work and administered oath for cleanliness to public.

 Emphasizing on increasing awareness for environment protection, in-charge Minister Dr. Narottam Mishra said that nature giving plants and medicines are very important in life. This has to be understood properly. Future generation has to be made aware of them. Referring the change brought from development works in Rewa district, in-charge Minister said that on the line of Namami Devi Narmade, ambitious plan for, revival work of Bichhiya river was carried out and it is appreciating.

 Extending greetings to people participating in cleanliness in the river, Industries Minister Rajendra Shukla said that river front of the river will be developed alike Sabarmati river. The plan is being made in this regard. Rs 25 lakh from public contribution, Rs 25 lakh from MLA fund and Rs 20 lakh from MP fund have been given for developing better river front.
 
Mayor Smt. Mamta Gupta said that different dustbins should be put for different types of waste in house and appealed each person to plant at least three saplings.

Rewa Janpad Panchayat president KP Tripathi, Chairman of Municipal Corporation Satish Soni, teachers, students, members of different social organisations and local people were present in the programme.-WTN
