Government will purchase onions from farmers

Bhopal: In a direct dialogue with farmers at Ghinouda and Khachrod in Ujjain district today Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that state government will purchase onions from farmers at any cost. Khasra B-1 copies will be made available to farmers at their homes. The Chief Minister told the farmers that state government will pay the fees of poor students belonging to all categories who secure more than 75 per cent marks in Class 12th for higher education under the Mukhya Mantri Medhavi Chhaatra Yojana. State government will make well-founded arrangements to purchase farmers’ produce on support price. Moong, Arhar, Urada is being purchased on support price by the state government. Soyabean will also be purchased on support price.

After a tour of Ratlam district Chief Minister Chouhan had a direct dialogue with farmers on Thursday during Krishak Samvad programme at Ghinouda village of Khachrod tehsil in Ujjain district. Chief Minister Chouhan gave a patient ear to farmers who handed over a memorandum to him and assured them of proper redressal. He said that efforts will be made to pay farmers in Krishi Upaj Mandis either in cash or through RTGS by depositing their money in their accounts for their produce as they are facing problems due to payments made by cheque. Every possible effort will be made to ensure that the farmers get their payments for their produce within 24 hours. The Chief Minister said that full attention will be paid to the problems of both farmers and traders.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that it is for the first time in state’s history that onions are being sent by goods train. He said that onions are being sent on racks to Jabalpur, Chhindwada and other places. All efforts are being made to purchase onions from farmers by June 30. Efforts will be made to purchase the onions left after sale from farmers after June 30.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that he is agonized by the unfortunate incident that occurred in Mandsaur district recently. No stone will be left unturned in bringing peace and prosperity in the state. The guilty will not be spared and action as per law will be taken against them. Strict action will be taken against those who spread chaos in state.

Saw Mishrilal’s house built under Prime Minister’s Housing Scheme

Chief Minister saw the newly constructed house of Prime Minister’s Housing Scheme (Rural) beneficiary Mishrilal, son of Naguji. Chouhan said that government is making funds available to the poor under Prime Minister’s Housing Scheme and Chief Minister’s Housing Scheme in installments. No one will remain without a house. Houses are being made available to those who do not have houses through these schemes. The Chief Minister said that state government has taken significant decisions for the welfare of farmers in the state. More schemes will be made for development of farmers so that they can avail its benefits. Poor persons will be provided land pattas for houses wherever they want be it in city or in rural areas. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that he will inspect the houses being made available to the beneficiaries under the housing scheme from time to time.

MLA Dilipsingh Shekhawat, MLA Bahadursingh Chouhan, former MLA Lalsingh Ranawat, farmers etc were present at the Krishak Samvad programme. Farmers and villagers welcomed the Chief Minister at several places between Ghinouda and Khachrod village and between Khachrod and Nagda.
