Indian equity market trades higher during afternoon session

Mumbai June 29 (IANS) The key Indian equity indices were trading higher on Thursday afternoon following positive global cues.

The 30-scrip Sensitive Index (Sensex) was trading 48.36 points or 0.16 per cent higher during the afternoon session.

The wider 51-scrip Nifty of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) was also trading 20.85 points or 0.22 per cent higher at 9 512.10 points.

The Sensex of the BSE which opened at 30 910.97 points was trading at 30 882.68 points (at 1.44 p.m.) 48.36 points or 0.16 per cent higher from the previous day s close at 30 834.32 points.

The Sensex touched a high of 31 097.92 points and a low of 30 870.58 points in the trade so far.

Equity market opened positive thanks to positive global cues. Asian markets are trading positive following positive US market closing. All sectors are trading in positive especially metals oil & goods tech and bank said Dhruv Desai Director and Chief Operating Officer of Tradebulls.
