Chinese smartphone player iVOOMi partners Flipkart

Bengaluru July 11 (IANS) Chinese smartphone maker iVOOMi on Tuesday announced its partnership with e-commerce major Flipkart to enhance its marketing strategy for the Indian market.

The company intends to utilise Flipkart s marketing intelligence support to target smartphone users in smaller cities and towns across the country.

iVOOMi plans to facilitate its Research and & Development (R&D) in Hong Kong and China with support from Flipkart s analytics of smartphone usage in India.

"We are glad to be associated with the e-commerce major Flipkart. Through their verified intelligence reports our focus is to ensure the development of latest technology in the most cost-effective range as desired by users in this geography " said Ashwin Bhandari CEO iVOOMi India in a statement.

iVOOMi also chose Flipkart as its exclusive sales partner for its upcoming range of smartphone. The cost of the smartphones will range between Rs 5 000-Rs 10 000.
