Brigitte Trogneux was 40 years, married and mother of three, when she met 15-year-old Macron, the now President of France. The drama teacher at the school met Macron while directing him for a school play and now destiny has set her to direct him while he will be taking the stage of politics as President of France.
The first Lady of France, wife to newly elected French President Macron is Brigitte Trogneux, who is a doting and supportive wife and guide too, who was continuous besides her husband during his campaign.
New to the world their love story, however, they were already breaking news and headlines over French media and critics since Macron filed his nominations, media was equally busy and far active in captioning the couple's personal life before and over the campaign tenor.
As the presidential winning result surfaces, France was already cheering “Brigitte”.When Macron stepped on stage for his thanksgiving speech to the nation, before the national anthem, he was joined by his family which includes Brigitte’s daughter from the first marriage and her granddaughter, very unusual in history of politics and in history of France however for people in love nothing is unusual so evident from this, which story seems so unlike a movie.
Macron was just sixteen when he vowed to marry Trogneux and this was not welcome idea from friend and family, the parent of the now president then tried to put a stop to the teenage turning oil affair, but the love lasted long enough to come over all hurdles and critics. Mr President stayed true to his words and tied the knot in 2007. This unusual love story emerged as major story line during his efforts to win the election, both husband and wife were targeted by critics while contesting against Presidential candidate Le Pen.
The journey was not that simple however the attitude and power of love kept the couple going, said the first lady during an interview. With the appointment of Macron as economy minister in Socialist President Francois Hollande’s government in the year 2014, Brigitte resigned from her teaching job to help her ambitious young husband.
Macron in his last staff meeting before starting his camping stated, my wife spends a lot of time with me these days because her views matter to me because she brings a different atmosphere that is important. My life is here, you cannot work well if you are not happy.
During official candidacy the French media’s major attraction was relationship of Macron and his nearly 25 years older wife, however, the supporters of the now president have a different perspective, they say ; nobody would bat an eyelid if the age difference - the same as between U.S. President Donald Trump and his wife Melania - had been the other way around. the First Lady is a strong woman and the mockery in her stride and has joked that if he wanted to run for president, he better do it soon, while she still looked presentable."He needs to go for it in 2017 because, by 2022, his problem will be my face," so sporting of her.
The President Emmanuel Macron welcomed his wife Brigitte Trogneux as first lady stating: "She will have an existence, she will have a voice there, a view on things. She will be at my side, as she has always been, but she will also have a public role," he said.- Window To News
