Best of "Bay Watch", is to watch Priyanka Chopra’s performance, Chopra is best for next Bond movies as villain - Collider

Thursday - May 25, 2017 11:52 am , Category : GOSSIP CORNER

A special screening held for media before the release of the movie in the USA, and here what the critics have to say for “Bay Watch”. The Bay Watch is all set to release on 25th of May in the USA, whereas in India the movie will release on 2nd of June. The top international critics have already seen the movie and where they are not much moved with the action comedy "Bay Watch", what they appreciate the most is the performance of none other than our very Desi Girl Priyanka Chopra.

Priyanka Chopra who is set to paw with her Hollywood Debut Bay Watch is already riding the minds of the critic with her power pack performance. The Independent in reference of Priyanka in their review stated; “Despite being incredibly talented, Chopra is clinically underused, the script offering her nothing to work with.”

The Guardian says: “the women are given thankless, almost interchangeable roles as love interests and swimsuit models.”, and they concluded saying “ Even Bollywood star Priyanka Chopra, the underused villain of the piece, looks she was contractually obliged to show as much flesh as permissible.”

The IGN in their review stated: “the only other highlight is Priyanka Chopra as nefarious entrepreneur Victoria Leeds, who outshines pretty much anyone she’s in a scene with. Chopra Engaging and interestingly is the only character that speaks with any kind of distinctive cadence.”

The Wrap’s review reads, “And if the talented Chopra also has comic chops, they remain untapped here; she’s playing a character who describes herself as aspiring to be a 007 villain, but the actress finds no fun in Victoria’s wickedness.”

The Forbes noted: “Chopra has fun as the baddie, but she stays in the background until the end of the movie and really only gets the one big scene at the end of the picture. The showdown is the best moment in the film, one which cleverly plays on gender-specific action movie tropes while showing its female villain no gender-based charge. I wish more movies has female super villains and to its credit, Baywatch doesn’t treat it as a big deal.”

Collider describes Priyanka the real star for the Sequel as they stated: “I’ve never seen her TV Series Quantico, but she owns the film every second she’s on screen. Victoria isn’t a particularly memorable villain on the page, but Chopra is commanding and when she gets called an aspiring Bond Villain, it made me want her to be the villain in the next Bond movie. If there’s one good thing that can come from the wreckage of this movie, it’s for Chopra’s career in Hollywood films to take off.”

So,  while
#nealpurvis and #robertwade are on to writing Bond 25th 007, and Daniel Craig is finding little difficult to make up his mind whether to take the bond next franchise,  Priyanka Chopra may become a motivational factor with her talent Pack power to be considered, and we wonder  if this all come to turn will our very Desi Girl will opt to sign if offered - with the Pine Woods Studios or not? And how much Priyanka will influence the home audience? Will be the point of check.

Congratulations Priyanka Chopra for your power pack performance. - Window To News
