Yesterday the three-day Mega Exhibition on Textile India 2017 begins, on the occasion of which the Prime Minister Narendra Modi while inaugurating the event stated: Many a times we've seen Indian tourists buy clothes from abroad only to realise later that it is 'Made in India', and so true to the fact the Celebrity from Art and cinema fraternity Shabana Azmi, can't hold herself to agree in full with the PM Modi, and she tweeted in response to the statement of PM Sir, I've done that several times too!

Textile India 2017 is an initiative by the government of India led by Prime Minister Modi where, the aim is to position various textile from India under one mega annual event to showcase the strength and entire gamut of Indian textile and apparel value chain from fabric to fabric to fashion, establishing India a global sourcing and investment destination, the initiative is definitely a wake-up call for Indian textile Industry.
