Biopics are corrupted says, Nawazuddin Siddiqui!
Remember “ Shandar Zabardast Zindabad “, Manjhi, the Mountain Man aka Nawazuddin Siddiqui? In an interview to a leading daily tells no dream of doing any more biopics.
Nawazuddin who marked his performance in various movies in commercial masala as well as in non-commercial cinema, whose “ Shandar Zabardast Zindabad “ roared all across India and became pet line of motivation, says he is more interested in doing pictures based on biographies. The actor stated; "I have no such dream of doing any biopic, the Biopics in Bollywood are corrupted by commercial elements.” And further stated,”the life of a person it's based on should be shown as it is. You can not make it keeping an eye on box office and introduce commercial elements like songs and dance. That’s not a biopic, its better you make another film instead. The biopic is a serious job, it;s not easy- the film on Gandhi was true biopic “.
Seems Nawaz is too disappointed, the Manjhi Man also appeared in the movie Raman Raghav, which was also a biopic and was based on the life of a serial killer.
