Entrepreneurship Week at PIMR, People’s University

Entrepreneurship forms the backbone of the nation’s economy and in order to strengthen entrepreneurship ecosystem, People’s University is working on igniting the ideology of starting own ventures amongst India’s youth. The youth of today needs to be more inclined towards creating jobs rather than getting one. Therefore, to assist the youth to become self-employed and create employment opportunities, People’s Institute of Management, People’s University is organising Entrepreneurship Week (E-Week).

E-Week will be supported by Wadhwani Foundation's NEN ( National Entrepreneurship Network)- A Global Network of Startup and SME Entrepreneurs, Mentors and Investors and SAR Infinity Technology Pvt. Ltd as technology partner.

Director of PIMR, Dr Sameer Sharma said that we will come forward to provide support to youth every possible manner. Porf. I S Rao, the co-ordinator of Entrepreneurship Cell (E-Cell) told that PIMR, People's University has been associated with NEN since last many years and has done its best to inculcate the traits of Entrepreneurship. 

Faculty Incharge for Entrepreneurship Cell (E-Cell) Priyal Saraf , Srashti Tripathi, Fozia Sultan and Himanchal Srivastava told that many students have the dream of starting up their own business and being their own boss. For most people it always stays a dream due to the many obstacles faced in starting a business and more so keeping it running and profitable. E-Cell has enrolled 81 students who will be mentored for entrepreneurship.

People’s University has started an Incubation Centre to train, mentor and guide entrepreneurship.
