Thursday - May 3, 2018 11:44 am , Category : GOSSIP CORNER

May 03 (WTN) - We all know that the World Press Freedom Day is celebrated on May 3rd. On this day, usually the journalists are remembered who were killed while doing their job or those who were arrested and imprisoned in jail. However, like these other days, it is also more like a royalty payment and no attention is given to change the actual situations of journalists.

But it is also important to realize that on the day the role of the media becomes important in global politics, it is important to define that what we think what is the meaning of a journalist in today's situation. Also think that the power of the media should be increased every year but its opposition is becoming more violent.

In India journalism started with the crushing of its independence Indeed. In 1780, when “James Augustus Hickey” pulled out the Hicks Gazette to expose the scandals of East India Company i.e. Calcutta General Advisor (the credit for India's first paper), then he also suffered the throbbing of the company.

Even his postal facility was stopped. It was Hikki's passion that he hawked his own Tabloid newspaper through the bicycle. Probably he was the India's first newspaper Hawker. At the moment the 'custom' of the right to abate the freedom of the press by the rulers came in existence with the introduction of the press in India.
