Actress Nargis Dutt was fond of cricket and football also

May 03 (WTN) - Nargis Dutt was born on 1 June 1929. Fatima Rashid was Nargis' real name. Nargis started her film career in the year 1935 with film “Talaash-e-Haq”. During this period she was called as “Baby Nargis”.
 
Between the periods of 1940 to 60, she worked with “Raj Kapoor” in many successful films. The film Aag, Aawara and Barsaat are the major ones
 
Nargis' daughter Namrata while talking about her mother had said that she was very funny. Along with this she was also a very good swimmer.
 
Nargis liked to play and in her childhood she liked playing football and cricket with her brother Anwar Hussain and Akhtar Hussain.
 
Nargis was very down to earth and like to eat paani poori from any road side junk shop. Apart from this, she did not even avoid shopping with her friends like ordinary people.
 
After marrying Sunil Dutt, Nargis was very happy to play the role of Housewife. She was very curious about learning the cooking.

Nargis died due to cancer on 3rd  May 1981. Her most memorable movie was Mother India, for which she was also honored with the Filmfare Award.
