June 5 (WTN) President Rodrigo Duterte of the Philippines kissed a married woman on the lips in front of thousands of supporters during a town hall-style meeting with overseas Filipino workers in South Korea.
Rodrigo asked for a kiss from the woman after she was called her on stage to give her a copy of a book at the event in Seoul. Duterte asked if the woman can tell to her husband that the antic was just a joke, and the woman replied yes.
Critics of the Duterte, women’s groups and other politicians are of opinion that the act was misogynistic and an abuse of power.
