June 25 - Heartthrob Bollywood actress of 90’s, Karirma Kapoor is 44 years today. The elder daughter of Randhir Kapoor and Babita and granddaughter of legendary actor Raj Kapoor and great granddaughter of film actor Prithviraj Kapoor , was one the most demanded actress in 1990’s.
She made her debut with Prem Qaidi in 1991 and starred in a number of hits, like Jigar and Anari (, the Raja Babu, Coolie No. 1 and Saajan Chale Sasural , Jeet . The blockbuster romance Raja Hindustani earned her a Filmfare Award for Best Actress. She got Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actress for her in Yash Chopra's blockbuster musical romance Dil To Pagal Hai.
Her nick name is Lolo. Babita named 'Lolo' after the legendary Hollywood actress Gina Lollobrigida.
Karishma was rumoured to be in a relationship with her Jigar co-star Ajay Devgn but they broke up in 1995. She got engaged to Abhishek Bachchan, but the engagement was called off after a few months.
On 29 September 2003, she married industrialist Sunjay Kapur, the CEO of Sixt India. After a long-drawn divorce battle, Karisma Kapoor and her husband Sunjay Kapur finally agreed on the modalities of their divorce in 2017.
