Jay Z tweeted “This is a win for us. I remember when rap was said to be a fad. We are now alongside some of the greatest writers in history," he said.Jay Z will be inducted as part of the hall's class of 2017 alongside Max Martin.Other inductees this year will include Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis. The duo has written and produced number one singles for Janet Jackson, Mariah Carey and Usher, among many others.The biggies listed to the fame hall are Marvin Gaye, Bob Dylan, Dolly Parton, Bruce Springsteen and Michael Jackson. So yes induced in this list is indeed a big deal. -WTN
