With the verdict from the Honourable Supreme court in favor of Women, the triple talaq practice is now illegal and unconstitutional.
The five Judge constitutional body defines that there is no constitutional protection for triple talaq.However, time margin of 6 months has been allotted by the chief Justice Khehar who urged Parliament to pass a law by then, for the mean time the Chief Justice injuncted Muslim men from pronouncing instant triple talaq.
