Stonemason Sanjeev Atthaya gets his own house

Bhopal: Sanjeev Kumar Attaya resides in his small kuchha house in Pali village of Hata tehsil in Damoh district with his five-member family. A stonemason by profession, he spent his life building concrete houses for others, but could not make one for himself due to financial stringency. But finally, thanks to Pradhan Mantri Gramin Aawas Yojana that helped Sanjeev realize his dream house.
Rozgar Sahayak (employment assistant) of Hata Janpad Panchayat helped stone mason Sanjeev Atthaya under the Pradhan Mantri Gramin Aawas Yojana. He got Sanjeev’s name added in the housing list of the scheme. He even got Rs 40 thousand in the first installment and Rs 45 thousand each in the second and third installment. Sanjeev laboured to build his own house also for which he received his due payment from MNREGA scheme.
Sanjeev’s pucca house has a pucca toilet now and a power connection also. Being a stonemason himself, Sanjeev has got a wonderful balcony built in front of his house. This Diwali, Sanjeev conducted Lakshmi Puja amidst glittering lights in his new house with family.-Windowtonews
