CM Chouhan plants Peepal, Saptaparni and Neem saplings

Bhopal 13 June 2022: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan planted Peepal, Saptaparni and Neem saplings in Smart Garden Shyamala Hills today along with Rashmi Agarwal, member of Sanskar Sudha Foundation Bhopal, Sushri Yashasvi and child painting artist Sushri Riya Jain. Chief Minister Chouhan also performed Shramdaan. Chouhan received information about the activities of the Foundation, Bhopal.

Child painting artist Sushri Riya Jain told Chief Minister Chouhan that she has also presented photographs to Prime Minister Modi. Her paintings have been exhibited in other countries. Many organisations have honoured her. On the request of Sushri Jain to come to the Chief Minister’s residence and present her paintings, she was invited to the CM residence. Some special artistic paintings will be presented by her to Chief Minister Chouhan soon.

Importance of plants

Among the saplings planted today, Saptaparni plant is an evergreen medicinal tree, which has great importance in Ayurveda. This plant is used in the manufacture of various medicines. Similarly, Neem rich in antibiotic elements is known as the supreme medicine. Peepal is a shady tree. It purifies the environment. It has religious and Ayurvedic significance – Window to News
