Handicapped-Normal Couple to Get Rs. 2 lakh on Marriage

Bhopal: In order to ensure social rehabilitation of handicapped persons, the state government has taken a decision to give incentive amount of Rs. 2 lakh on marriage of handicapped-normal couple. The amount will be given to the couple on condition that their marriage should be registered before the competent authority and they must possess a marriage certificate issued by the authority.
Similarly, a sum of Rs. One lakh will be given jointly to the couple in case of marriage between a handicapped boy and a handicapped girl.
The Social Justice and Disabled Persons Welfare Department has released amendment in this connection recently in the Nishakt Vivah Protsahan Yojana-2008 (Amended Year-2013) according to the provision of Disabled Persons Act-1995. This amendment has come into effect from this month itself.-Windowtonews
