President Kovind Performs Pooja-Archana at Narmada’s Origin Point and Narmada Mandir

Bhopal: President Ramnath Kovind performed pooja-archana at Narmada’s Origin Point and Maa Narmada Mandir in Amarkantak today. His wife Smt. Savita Kovind, Governor O.P. Kohli, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Wife of CM Smt. Sadhana Singh and Minister of State for Micro, Small, Medium Enterprises and District In-Charge Anuppur Sanjay Satyendra Pathak were present with the President.
Earlier to this, warm welcome was accorded to the President on his arrival at Narmada Mandir. He took a sip of holy Narmada water at the origin point of Narmada river. Pujaris got the pooja performed amid chanting of mantras with full rituals. The President was informed about the origin of Narmada river. He also got himself apprised about the clean water at the origin point and about the cleanliness of the river.
Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan informed that activity to generate awareness among the people was undertaken by ensuring participation of all during the Narmada Seva Yatra being set out to keep Narmada river clean. The President also performed pooja of Shivling at the origin point itself.
The President Kovind also performed pooja-archana in Narmada Mandir. Shawl, Shreephal, Memento and Prasad were gifted to the President on behalf of the Mandir Administration. CM Chouhan presented the portrait of Maa Narmada to the President on this occasion.-Windowtonews
