World Diabetes Day Today

Bhopal: The World Diabetes Day focusing “Mahilaien evam Madhumay –Swasth Bhavishya Hamara Adhikaar” will be held this year in the state. Free blood sugar and blood pressure tests of pregnant women are being conducted to check diabetes at every Wednesday in all the District Hospital with the cooperation of Roshni Clinic.
Every District has Free Test Facilities for Diabetes, B.P and Heart Diseases
Rashtriya cancer, madhumay, hridaya rog aur stroke nivaran evam niyantaran karyakram is being conducted by the Union and State Government in all the 51 districts. Free test, diagnosis and treatment related to the diabetes, bold pressure and heart diseases are being provided to the persons over 30 years of age under the programme.
NCD clinics have been established in the district hospital one community health center of the district. Test, diagnosis and treatment facility for blood pressure, blood sugar, ECG and related to cancer disease is being provided in the clinic.
Awareness Activities to be Conducted against Diabetes
In order to generate awareness among the people, different kinds of activities are being carried out in all the districts on World Diabetes day on November 14.
Information on symptoms of diabetes and precautions will be provided to the people through awareness rallies, camps and seminars. Advises are being given to the people by the doctors for tests and treatment in the nearby government hospitals if they come across with the main symptoms of diabetes like excessive thirst, hunger and not healing of wounds.-Windowtonews
