No Negligence will be Tolerated in Crime Cases against Women: CM Chouhan

Bhopal: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that safety of girls and women is the topmost priority of the state government. Negligence of any kind will not be tolerated in this connection. He mentioned that the notice on complaints of crime against the girls and women should be taken immediately, F.I.R. should be registered after conducting the test immediately and if necessary medical examination should be carried out on time. Moreover, action to cancel the driving license of the culprits involved in crime against women should be initiated. Chief Minister Chouhan gave instructions to the Collector and Superintendent of the Police to conduct joint tour of the sensitive areas to ensure the proper security arrangements.

CM Chouhan was gathering information from the District Collectors and Superintendents of Police as regard to the remedies and arrangements made for the girls and women’s safety through video conferencing at Mantralaya today. Chief Secretary B.P. Singh, Director General of Police R.K. Shukla and other Senior Officers were present on the occasion.

Chouhan clearly stated that strict punishment to the persons committing crime against women should be ensured. Awareness regarding remedies of safety should be generated in all the sections of the society. Safety arrangements must be ensured by conducting intensive patrolling in the areas of schools, colleges, hostels, coaching centers and Bal Sampreshan Grahs. Intensive patrolling of these areas should be conducted. Collectors must hold meeting with the Superintendent of Police, Officers of the Woman and Child Development, Health and Urban Bodies at least once in a month in this connection.

DGP R.K. Shukla informed that the remedies for women’s safety are being ensured in all the sensitive places. Arrangements of CCTV cameras at schools, colleges and hostels and guard are being ensured. Also arrangements of CCTV camera in school buses beside presence of female teacher are being ensured. He further informed that installation of CCTV cameras in the buses of public transport has been decided till December 31.-Windowtonews
