CCTV cameras to be installed in all departmental hostels of SC, ST

Bhopal: Minister of State for Tribal Affairs and Scheduled Caste Welfare, Lal Singh Arya has instructed to install CCTV cameras in all 4384 departmental hostels. They include 1855 girls' hostel. According to the intention of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan, the task will be completed soon. December 31 has been set the deadline for it.
Arya asked to keep in mind one's privacy in installing the camera. He said that the cameras should be installed at the hostel entrance necessarily.
A total of 2439 hostels are functioning in the State by Tribal Affairs Department. There are 923 girls and 1516 boys hostels. Similarly, 1945 hostels are run by scheduled caste welfare departments. There are 932 girl students and 1013 boys hostels.-Windowtonews
