Milling of Paddy Procured on Support Price from January 16

Bhopal: Minister for Food, Civil Supplies, Consumer Protection and Labour Omprakash Dhurve gave directives for registration of Millers for paddys’ milling from December 01. He said that the milling work should be completed before July 2018 by starting from January 16, 2018. Dhurve was reviewing the action plan of custom milling of paddy procured at support price during the Kharif Marketing Year 2017-18 at Mantralaya today. Principal Secretary Food Smt. Neelam Shami Rao, Managing Director Civil Supplies Corporation Vikas Narval, General Manager Food Corporation of India Abhishek Yadav, Office Bearers of Millers Association and Senior Officers of MARKFED, Warehousing and Cooperative Department were present in the review meeting.

Minister Dhurve mentioned that incentive amount will be given to the millers which undertake qualitative and good milling in ratio of milling capacity through computerization process from supply of paddy to rice accumulation. He further said that sufficient storage capacity is being made available in milling rich districts according to the demand of the millers. The Office Bearers of Millers Association said that the milling work will be completed before July by starting it from January 16, 2018.-Windowtonews
