Pilgrims to have darshan of nearby shrine along with main shrine

Bhopal: Lauding the decision to take the pilgrims to other nearby shrines apart from the main shrine, members of the Advisory Committee of the Department of Sports and Youth Welfare, Religious Trust and Endowments told to ensure availability of list of pilgrims with the concerned area’s MLA also. Minister for Sports and Youth Welfare, Religious Trust and Endowments Smt. Yashodhara Raje Scindia presided over. Committee members MLA Divyaraj Singh, Dilip Singh Parihar and Pandit Ashish Govind Sharma were present at the meeting.

Smt. Scindia told that as per the directions of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, the nearby shrines have also been included in the route of the pilgrimages along with the main shrine. Packages of Rameshwaram-Madurai (7-days), Tirupati- Kalhasti (7-days), Dwarka-Somnath (7-days), Puri-Gangasagar (8-days), Haridwar-Rishikiesh-Amritsar-Vaishnodevi (7-days) and Kashi-Gaya (8-days) will be made to organize the pilgrimages.

The Endowments Minister said that arrangements are being made to welcome the pilgrims at the source station under the yojana with garlands, vermilion and welcome band. Games like Ludo, Snakes and Ladders, Carrom and Dholak Manjira etc. will be made available for entertainment of the pilgrims.

The members recommended to give priority to popular games of the area in the Cup Contest of the MLA of Sports and Youth Welfare Department.-Windowtonews
