Minister Shukla Holds Meeting of Departmental Advisory Committee
Bhopal: Minister for Industry and Commerce Rajendra Shukla said that the Ratlam district is known as the leading district in horticulture. Therefore, food processing unit should be set up here. Beside this, Textile Park should also be established in Mandsaur district. Shukla was addressing the meeting of Advisory Committee of Commerce – Industry, Employment and SMSE today. Member of the Committee and MLA Rajendra Pandey beside Senior officers of the department were present in the meeting.
It was informed in the meeting that Food Processing Park will be set up on the land of Jawra Sugar Mill. DPR will be prepared in this regard by December end. Moreover, it was informed that Jhanjharwada has favourable conditions for establishing Textile Park. Bhilwara area of Rajasthan is close to this place. Minister Shukla directed the officers to take effective action regarding establishment of Textile park.
Shukla informed that road shows are being organized at National and International level to encourage investors for investing in the state. Nine road shows in different states and 5 road shows at international level were organized till October during the year 2017-2018. Special attention is being paid on ease of doing business to facilitate investors for establishing industries in the state. Madhya Pradesh had bagged 5th position in ease of doing business survey conducted jointly in cooperation of government of India and the World Bank. Efforts are being made to bring Madhya Pradesh on first position.
Moreover, Shukla informed that “Invest” portal has already been prepared by the department for action with transparency on the proposals of investors. Action is being taken on the proposals received during the Investors Summit held at Indore. Industries’ related 2171 proposals worth Rs. 4.38 lakh crore received in the summit have been accepted after the finalization. Furthermore, Shukla informed that Multi Product SEZ has been developed on 1113 hectare land at Indore. An investment of Rs. 3,820 crore has been made in 49 industrial units and employment to about 20 thousand persons have been provided in these units.
Principal Secretary Commerce-Industry Mohammad Suleman, Principal Secretary MSME V.L. Kantarao, Managing Director TRIFAC D.P. Ahuja and other officers were present in the meeting.-Windowtonews
