Transfer cancelled in compliance with Chief Minister’s instructions

Bhopal: The transfer of Gyasiram Batham, working on the post of Cashier in the School Education Department from Government Girls Higher Secondary School Vijaypur to Office of Block Education Officer Development Block Sheopur has been cancelled on the instructions of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan. CM Chouhan took action on a letter written by Smt. Saroj Batham, wife of Batham. In the letter by Smt. Batham had mentioned that being the only male member in the family, Batham was responsible for the whole family.

Smt. Batham’s application was inspected following instructions by Shri Chouhan. After examination of facts, instructions were given to Sheopur District Collector to cancel the transfer order of Batham. Later District Education Officer Sheopur issued the new order after cancelling the transfer order of Shri Batham on November 30.

Smt. Saroj Batham had told the CM that their only son died of drowning in a well. They have 5 daughters. Her 80-year-old father-in-law was mentally unstable. With the transfer order of her husband, the whole family was in great tension. She further wrote that with her husband’s salary being very less, it was not possible to pursue a job staying so far and separate from the family. Smt.
