Farmers get financial support from Bhavantar Bhugtan Yojana

Bhopal: Nearly 70 percent of the state’s population resides in villages. Most of these villagers depend on agriculture for a living. State government considers farmers as an integral part of the economy. 

Because of this it supports the farmers at every step right from sowing of the crop till its sale. Farmers are being provided with loan on zero percent interest, seeds-fertilisers, water, pesticides etc. on time. Now the farmers of the state are being provided with the support price of their produce apart from the beneficial price of the crop compared to other states. This arrangement has been made in every Krishi Upaj Mandi of the state to compensate the farmer for the loss incurred due to the ups and downs in the market rate. The name of this pro-farmer arrangement is Bhavantar Bhugtan Yojana. Under this scheme, the farmer is being given fair price besides price difference amount. With the effective implementation of the scheme, the farmers of the state have become tension-free. The difference between crop’s support price and model rate is known as the price difference amount.

Agriculture production in Panna district of Bundelkhand has been much affected due to drought situation in the district. The farmers of the district were quite upset as they were getting very less price for their crop. At such a time, Bhavantar Bhugtan Yojana has proved to be a boon for the farmers. Farmer Gorelal Patel of Pavai block of the district had sold 25.59 quintal urad at Pavai Mandi for which he got Rs 72, 905 at the rate of Rs 2,250 per quintal. Gorelal and his family were not satisfied with this price and felt cheated. Gorelal got his crop registered with Bhavantar Bhugtan Yojana following which a price difference of Rs 68,616 was immediately deposited in his account by the state government. This unexpected aid gave financial support to Gorelal Patel. Now he is sure about taking Rabi crop easily and would also be able to fulfil his family’s needs easily. Similarly, farmer Suraj Singh of Murach village of Panna block got his price difference amount of Rs 80,640 and Ram Shiromani Patel of Hinoutibhed village of Gunaur block got his price difference amount of Rs 60,096.

Dayaram Bhagirath Choudhury of Simrol village in Sanver block of Indore district sold 248 quintal soyabean at the krishi mandi. After getting registered with the Bhavantar Bhugtan Yojana his joy knew no bounds when he received the price difference amount of Rs 1 lakh 28 thousand 349. Now he is preparing to take on the next crop. In Indore district so far Rs 3 crore 30 lakh 75 thousand 336 price difference amount has been paid to about 3,123 farmers.

Farmer Suratram of Rajgadia village of Mehgaon tehsil of Bhind district sold his 8 quintal urad at the krishi mandi. After getting registered with the Bhavantar Bhugtan Yojana, he received Rs 18 thousand 800 price difference amount. Now Suratram is happily preparing for rabi crop.-Windowtonews
