Third phase of intensive Mission Indradhanush from December 7 to 18

Bhopal: The third phase of the intensive Mission Indradhanush will begin in 14 marked districts of the state including Alirajpur, Chhatarpur, Indore (city) Jhabua, Panna, Raisen, Rewa, Sagar, Sheopur, Sidhi, Singrauli, Tikamgarh and Vidisha from December 7 to 18. Principal Secretary Public Health and Family Welfare Smt. Gauri Singh reviewed preparation of the third phase and progress of the last two phases.

The goal of intensive Mission Indradhanush is to immunize children who have been left during the immunization campaign and pregnant women. Nearly 25 thousand 52 sessions were taken during the campaign in the state in the first and second phase in last October and November in which 1 lakh 56 thousand 630 children and 35 thousand 745 pregnant women were immunized. Out of these 15,855 children were immunized for the first time.

In the meeting it was told that Madhya Pradesh is among the 3 leading states of the country with 86 percent immunization. The Principal Secretary issued instructions to achieve cent percent target by strengthening district and block level control room activities in the phases to be held in December and January. He said that the team members should reach their areas a day earlier. They should inform concerned houses over phone or other media about the immunization between 9 am and 4 pm. They should ensure that not even a single house or child is deprived from immunization. Smt. Singh stressed on better performance in low availability areas like Panna, Shahdol, Sheopur, Sidhi and Singrauli districts in the two next phases. A discussion will be held through video conferencing on December 5 with the Chief Medical and Health Officers and District Immunisation Officers of these districts.

Union Health Minister Nadda to review campaign

Union Health Minister J.P. Nadda will review the intensive Mission Indradhanush campaign to be implemented in 118 districts of the state through video conferencing on December 6. Special discussion will be held for the campaign launched in 14 districts of the state on per person Survey Duelist conducted by the districts, inter departmental coordination and participation of NCC and NSS. Under the campaign the Health department , with the help of anganwadi workers and ANM is ensuring immunization of children upto 5 years of age and pregnant women. The programme is being monitored district-wise through mobile app.-Windowtonews
