New rates applicable on sale of notified crops by registered farmers in notified mandis
Bhopal: In a pro-farmer decision, the state government has announced new average model rates for notified crops sold between November 1 and 30 under the Bhavantar Bhugtan Yojana. Government has issued instructions to all the collectors to make payment of the price difference for notified crops purchased in notified mandis from registered farmers as per new rates. As per instructions, the new average model rates of soyabean, urad, maize, moong and groundnut. The average model rate of Ramtil and sesame are the same as before.
Principal Secretary Agriculture Dr. Rajesh Rajoura told that in the series of recommendations of the sub-committee constituted as per the provisions and prescribed procedure of the scheme for this period, the average model rate of soyabean for the period between November 1 and 30 will be Rs 2,640 per quintal, rate of Rs 3,070 per quintal for urad, Rs 1,110 per quintal for maize, Rs 4,120 per quintal for moong and Rs 3,570 per quintal for groundnut. Instructions have been given for payment of price difference amount as per new rates. As the average model rate of Ramtil and Sesame is more than minimum support price in the above period, the price difference of these two Krishi Upaj will notbe payable in this period.
As per an order issued today by the Madhya Pradesh government Farmer Welfare and Agriculture Development Department, all collectors have been directed to make payment of price difference as per eligibility and provisions of the scheme, for sale of notified crops (soyabean, urad maize, moong and groundnut) in the notified mandis between November 1 and 30, 2017 by registered farmers under Bhavantar Bhugtan Yojana.
District -level committee to send SMS to farmers after inspection
As per new average model rates the price difference will be deposited in the accounts of registered farmers according to their eligibility after inspection by the district level committee constituted and presided over by collector. Information of the price difference amount will be sent to the registered farmers through SMS on their mobiles after counting as per provision for sale of krishi upaj in notified mandi premises.-Windowtonews
