Government Jobs to International Medal Winners

Bhopal: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that government jobs will also be provided to the medal winners of individual and team competitions of the international level. Chouhan was addressing the concluding programme of All India Rajmata Vijaya Raje Scindia Women Gold Cup Hockey Tournament held at Major Dhayanchand Stadium today.

CM Chouhan announced to give an additional amount of Rs. One lakh each to the teams, which bagged four first positions in the tournament and Rs. 25 thousand each to the best players of various categories. Indian Railway Women Hockey team lifted the Mayor Trophy by defeating the team of Madhya Pradesh Women Hockey Academy by 4 goals to one in the final match.

Chouhan mentioned that life is incomplete without sports. Life becomes easy, if we consider life as sports. He urged parents to encourage children for sports and studies. Children must study and take part in sports wholeheartedly. The state government will take full care of them. He lauded the competition organized in the memory of Rajmata Scindia. Chouhan congratulated the winner, runner up teams for their excellent performance and encouraged the teams by getting their introduction. He also distributed awards on the occasion.

Mayor Alok Sharma informed that the competition was organized from December 2 to 10 at Major Dhayanchand Hockey Stadium. Sixteen best women hockey teams of the country took part in the competition. Total 28 matches were played during the competition.

President Municipal Corporation Surjeet Singh Chouhan presented memento to the Chief Minister. An amount of Rs. One lakh 50 thousand to the winner team, Rs. One lakh to the runner up team, Rs. 50 thousand and Rs. 25 thousand towards the awards to the teams, which bagged third and fourth place respectively were presented on the occasion.

Minister of State for Cooperatives (Independent Charge) Vishwas Sarang, MP Alok Sanjar, Chairman Bhopal Development Authority Om Yadav, MLA Surendranath Singh and sports lovers in large number were presented in the concluding programme.-Windowtonews
