Aditi and Kavya Become Well-Nourished by Atal Bal Palak Scheme

Bhopal: Life of Aditi, the two and half year old and Kavya, the one and half year old girl has become free of malnutrition owing to the Atal Bal Palak Scheme. This innovative scheme of Women and Child Development Department has brought both the girls out of the malnourished child category.
The weight of Aditi, who belongs to Hoshangabad district, was just 2.300 gram at the time of birth. Mohammad Adil Fazil adopted Aditi in the month of April as an Atal Bal Palak. Information regarding personal hygiene and other related habits was given to the father of Aditi, Kevalram Kevat and her mother Rekha Kevat by the officers of the Women and Child Development Department. Regular massage of Aditi by Ayurvedic oil was started at the Aaganbadi center. Beside this, nutritious foods like soya-sattu, soya-biscuit besides breakfast and meals as per the menu of aaganbadi in the form of special food were given to Aditi at the fixed time. As a result, the weight of Aditi increased. Presently, her weight has become 10 kilo 800 gram. Owing to the efforts of the Women and Child Development Department and Atal Bal Palak, Aditi has now come under the normal weight category from the extreme low weight category. While praising the workers of Aaganbadi and the Women and Child Development Department, the parents of Aditi say that now she has become free from the curse of malnutrition.
The weight of Kavya of Biaora was only 2 kilogram at the time of birth. Collector Shri Avinash Lavaniya adopted the child under the Atal Bal Palak scheme. Lavaniya suggested her father Kanhaiyyalal and mother Sandhya for regular breast feeding and to adopt habits related to cleanliness. Oil massage of Kavya was carried out everyday and was given nutritious food according to the menu of aaganbadi center like breakfast, soya-nuts, banana and milk. With the efforts of the Collector, Kavya now has come out of the extreme low weight category.
