PR Minister Dr. Mishra Lays Foundation of Stop Dam

Bhopal: Minister for Public Relations, Water Resources and Parliamentary Affairs Dr. Narottam Mishra laid foundation of Shrigeswar stop dam to be built at a cost of Rs. 4 crore 87 lakh 92 thousand on Sindh river at village Pachawali of Kolaras-district Shivpuri today. He also made announcement on this occasion for construction of stop dams at village Tamki costing Rs. 5 crore 5 lakh and village Sad at a cost of Rs. 5 crore 21 lakh besides village Lilwara.
Dr. Mishra said that the schemes are being implemented for the welfare of all the sections of the society under the guidance of the Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan. People of the state have praised the concerns of the Chief Minister. He further mentioned that the Union and the State Government, both are committed for the welfare of the people.
Referring to the works carried out in Datia area, Dr. Mishra said that potable water is being supplied to the residences of the villagers of all the villages through taps under the Nal-Jal Yojanas. He stated that Datia was once a small and backward district of the state, but now it is a leading district of Madhya Pradesh in terms of development. Chairman Seeds Development Corporation Madhav Singh Dangi and other Public Representatives were present in the programme.
It may be mentioned that 350 hectare land will get irrigation facility by construction of Shrigeswar stop dam on Sindh river. Four hundred and 66 farmers of village Shrigeswar, Rijoudi and Piprouda Bujurg will be benefited by this stop dam. Beside this, the stop dam will help increasing the ground water level and will provide potable water, water for domestic purpose and animals.-Window To News
