Anubhuti Programme to be Held till January 15 in Forest Areas

Bhopal: In order to connect school students directly with nature, forest and forest animals and to make them sensitive towards their conservation, Anubhuti programme is being organized by Eco-Tourism Development Board from December 15 to January 15. Under the programme, while introducing One lakh school students with the bio-diversity of the forest, children are being realized towards their responsibility for its conservation.

Minister for Forest Dr. Gourishankar Shejwar apprising about this, informed that the message for nature conservation was given to 53 thousand 935 students of 1938 schools by taking them on forest’ tour under the programme last year. The children will be informed about the nature’s conservation this year also by organizing eco-camps in 450 forest zones of the state. Awareness towards nature’s conservation will spread in the society through children. The programme is being organized with an objective to encourage children for conservation while enjoying nature without interfering. In addition to retired officers-employees, the retired forest officers have been trained before the programme as master trainers.

Divyang Students Enjoy Nature

An eco-camp was organized at Bio-Eco Tourism Park, Pathariya Jaat of Sagar District for divyang students. Ninety students of class 9 to 12 of Visual and Hearing Impaired Higher Secondary School –Sagar besides 22 divyang students of Gharonda Sanstha and 33 other divyang children attended the eco-camp. A special vehicle for travelling of these children and food were arranged by the Forest Department. They were apprised about the eco-tourism, flora fauna and the importance of conservation of forest animals and environment. Visually impaired children knew about the plants and trees by touching them and by listening to the sound of forest animals. Musical presentations for visually impaired children and painting competition for hearing impaired children were organized during the camp.

Member of Parliament Laxminarayan Yadav, MLAs Pradeep Lariya and Shailendra Jain presented certificates to the participants and distributed cash reward of Rs. 3000, Rs. 2000 and Rs. 1000 among the first, second and third winners respectively of the quiz competition. One hundred twenty six students of government schools were taken for forest visit in Betul also.

Chief Executive Officer of Eco-Tourism Development Board Pushkar Singh informed that information on birds, forest animals, jungle safari, plantation and dinosaur etc. is being given to the children in an interesting manner in the programme being organized in the entire state. Attractive brochures are being given to the children, so they could understand the nature comfortably. Information on birds-animals, butterflies, forest and environment etc. is being given through appealing photographs in the brochure.-Window To News
