Junior National Equestrian Championship from December 23

Bhopal: Junior National Equestrian Championship is being organized at Madhya Pradesh Equestrian Academy, Bishankhedi from December 23 to 31. Minister for Sports and Youth Welfare Smt. Yashodhara Raje Scindia will inaugurate the competition.

Director Sports and Youth Welfare Upendra Jain has informed that the Junior National Equestrian Championship is being organized first time at Bhopal.

Equestrians of 18 states of the country will display their skills by taking part in different competitions to be held under the championship. Equestrians of different age group will participate in 15 events of team and individual competitions.
Equestrians between the age of 16 to 21 years will take part in Young Rider Group and equestrians aged between 14 to 18 years will participate in Junior group.

Similarly equestrians aged between 12 to 14 years and 10 to 12 years will take part in ‘Children I’ and ‘Children II’ group respectively. Moreover, Jain informed that dressage, jumping normal, tent pegging, one-day event, jumping tek your line event will be held under the young rider category. Similarly, dressage, jumping normal and jumping accumulator under the junior category and dressage, jumping normal, jumping top score event will be held under the ‘Children I’ and ‘Children II’ category.

Equestrians in individual and team competition will take part in All India Preliminary Show Jumping under the Open Category. The main attraction of this event will be the 2 k.m. cross country race. Events will start at 8.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. everyday.-Window To News
