Sahariya Families to become owner of land, on which they are dwelling

Bhopal: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan paid surprise visit to the settlement of Sahariya tribal of village Rannod during the visit of Kolaras area of Shivpuri district today. He met Sahariya families and heard their grievances.

Girjabai joyous after meeting CM Monthly aid of Rs 25,000 to Girjabai and Rs 500 to her kids Girja Bai never expected to meet Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan someday and that he would solve her problems without her telling him. She never had the faintest hope that the state’s CM would come to her and hug her children. While returning for the helipad from Rannod in Shivpuri district, CM Chouhan happened to notice this village woman carrying an infant. He instantly asked the driver to stop the vehicle. He walked up to the woman and patted the child in her lap. It was not at all difficult for him to judge her financial condition. He directed the collector to grant Rs 25,000 financial assistance to the woman and Rs 500 for the child every month.  A resident of Dagpipri village, Girjabai, wife of Late Harprasad Jatav was too elated to meet Chouhan on Thursday. The affection shown by the CM towards her reminded her of her family. She leavs no chance in telling everyone about the fact that the CM of the state is her brother who worried about her and solved her financial problem which she will never forget.  Those present around were also surprised at the CM’s gesture.

Chouhan told Sahariya families that they will be made owner of the land, on which they are dwelling by providing pattas. He instructed district officials to initiate immediate action in this matter. Moreover, he told officers to remove encroachments immediately, if made on the land of Sahariya families.

CM Chouhan informed Sahariya tribal families that an amount of Rs. One thousand per month would be deposited in the bank account of the female member of their family for purchasing vegetables and milk. Moreover, wheat, rice and salt at the rate of Re. One per k.g. will also be provided to the families of Sahariya tribal.

Chouhan urged Sahariya families to send their children to school for education. The state government will provide all kind of assistance in this regard. He also gave instructions for installing hand pump in Sahariya settlement.-Window To News
