Twenty Three k.m. Long Tunnel to be constructed on National Highway-75: Minister Singh

Bhopal: Minister for Public Works, Law and Legislative Affairs Rampal Singh said that meeting will be convened every month for effective monitoring of National Highways’ works. Senior officers of all the agencies connected with the construction works of national Highways like N.H.A.I., M.P.P.W.D. and M.P.R.D.C. will take part in the meeting. Rampal Singh was speaking at the review meeting of the department today.

Minister Singh mentioned that 187 k.m. long Bhopal, Salamatpur-Sanchi –Vidisha-Sagar road will be made four lane road by including it in the first phase of Bharat Mala Yojana. Beside this, 23 k.m long tunnel will be constructed on National Highway no. 75 under the expansion.

It was informed in the meeting that work of Jhansi-Gwalior section on National Highway no. 75 will be started soon. Similarly, work to decide agency for Satna-Vela road on National Highway no. 75, construction of Jabalpur to Sindur and Bhopal to Gouharganj road, Sindur to Hiran road of National Highway 12 and package -2 of Obaidullahganj -Betul road will be started shortly.

Approval was given to Singarcholi ROB six-lane under National Highway No. 12 A Bhopal-Biaora-Biaora Section and six-lane in Bhopal city area. Apart from completion of Rewa-Jabalpur road of National Highway no. 7 under construction by NHAI. Work will begin after completion of formalities  by NHAI for construction of four-lane of New  National Highway Indore-Adilabad and Ujjain-Jhalawar roads announced on principle. Decision was taken at the meeting to send detalied project  report of the Chambal Expressway to the Government of India. Highway Minister will take action soon for approval of Forest and Environment Ministry, Government of India for four-lane construction in the 12 km portion that lies in the way of the Ratapani Sanctuary between Obaidullaganj of National Highway-69 and Budni.-Window To News
