Bhopal: The Akhil Bharatiya Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram is organizing the 20th Rashtriya Vanvasi Sports competition from December 28 to 31 at Kamla Devi Public School, Chola Overbridge Road, Karond. The national sports competition is being organized in Bhopal to promote sports talents of far-flung forest areas. The competition will be inaugurated by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan.
About 600 selected players from 35 regions are participating in the competitions. Folk dances from various regions will be presented in the evenings on all the three days to make the programme more interesting.
Vice President of Akhil Bhartiya Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram Kripa Prasad Singh will preside over the inaugural programme. Special guests at the programme include Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Smt. Yashodhara Raje Scindia, Energy Minister Paraschandra Jain, Animal Husbandry Minister Antar Singh Arya besides Olympian Archer Mangal Singh Champia who will be a special invitee.
The competition will conclude on December 31. Akhil Bharatiya Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram Vice President Smt. Neelimatai Patte will preside over. National Scheduled Tribe Commission Chairman Nandkumar Sai will be chief guest. Akhil Bharatiya Kalyan Ashram organizing secretary Somyajulu will be special guest. Animal Husbandry Minister Antar Singh Arya and Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Tribal Welfare Lal Singh Arya will be special guest.-Window To News
