Over 2.5 times more compensation than Collector rate to submerged area farmers- PR Minister Dr. Mishra

Bhopal: Water Resources, Public Relations and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Dr. Narottam Mishra said that more than 2.5 times more compensation than Collector rate will be given to farmers whose land falls under submerged area in Small Irrigation Schemes. Dr. Mishra was addressing a bhoomi-pujan samaroh organised at Bijrauni village in Shivpuri district today.

Dr. Mishra conducted bhoomi-pujan of stop dams worth Rs 4.87 crore in Sada village and Rs 5.83 crore in Lilwara village and small irrigation scheme worth Rs 15 crore in Bijrauni village.

Water Resources Minister Dr. Mishra told the farmers that the state government has taken all possible measured to make farming a beneficial profession and has taken several important decsions and implemented several pro-farmer schemes. He said that farmers should avail all benefits of the government schemes.  Giving information about the public welfare schemes of the state government Dr. Mishra told that cooking gas connections are being ensured in every poor family in the state and country under Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana in the next three  years. Work is also in progress to make houses available for every poor family under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana by year 2022.-Window To News
