Present time most challenging for teachers: Minister Smt. Chitnis

Bhopal: Women and Child Development Minister Smt. Archana Chitnis said that the present time is the most challenging for teachers. Earlier the elements that influenced psychology were limited. At present, information technology and as a result of other changes in life child psychology is being influenced by several elements. Under these circumstances, it is a major challenge to include it in learning process by developing better coordination and mutual understanding with students. Smt. Chitnis was addressing the inaugural session of a two-day “Global Teachers Meet” today at Campion School. He said that teachers are like a Tulsi plant that gives oxygen 24x7, a teacher also gives oxygen to the society through his/her views/opinions and behavior.

Smt. Chitnis said that teachers play a major role in developing children as good human beings. It is the responsibility of teachers to love and be affectionate towards all children equally. There should be no discrimination among children who score less or more. Only the right coordination between teachers and parents can bring about positive outcome in personality development of children. She said that only better marks cannot prove better education. A child’s complete personality is developed by building self-confidence, respect towards self and country and his/her capacity of linking and connecting with family and society.

Smt. Chitnis honoured the senior teachers on the occasion. Archbishop Leo Cornelio, Prof. Dr. R.P. Khambayat, Smt. Kala Mohan and a large number of teachers from various institutions were also present on the occasion.-Window To News
