N.S.S. has Significant Contribution in Students’ Leadership Development: Pawaiya

Bhopal: Minister for Higher Education Jaibhan Singh Pawaiya said that India can be made strong only by leadership development in the students. He laid emphasis for participation of the students in large number in National Service scheme (N.S.S.) in this regard. Pawaiya was adressing the group of the students at Bhopal today, these students are taking part in the N.S.S. contingent during the Republic Day parade to be held at New Delhi.

Minister Pawaiya mentioend that Gurukul had importance in the ancient traditions of India. All the students used to study, live together in Gurukul and education to discharge their social responsibilties were imparted to them. This helped them developing leadership quality. He further stated that tradition to lead isolated life is increasing in the society in the present era. This has also affected youths’ lives. Talking about the importance of N.S.S., Pawaiya said that whenever students visit villages, they should try to understand their lifestyle and sentiments of duty in the villagers.

Total 6 girl and boy students of the state have been included in the N.S.S. contingent. They wil proceed for New Delhi on December 31. After participating in the Republic Day Parade, the students will also meet Prime Minister and President.-Window To News
