Farmers to get information on Prevailing Rates of Agriculture Produces daily from Akashwani

14 Centers of Akashwani to broadcast arrival and average rates from January 01 

Bhopal: State’s farmers will receive information on rates of agriculture produces prevailing in their districts and nearby mandis daily in the evening from Akashwani now. This arrangement is being made by the Madhya Pradesh State Agriculture Marketing Board for the farmers from January 01, 2018, which will be continued regularly throughout 365 days of the year.

Under this arrangement, daily arrival and average rate of various agriculture produces in mandi samitis through Mandi Board will be broadcasted by Akashwani’s 14 centers from 7.00 p.m for 5 minutes. This will be broadcasted before the of regional news.

According to the Mandi Board, 8 out of 14 centers of Akashwani have been divided into 4 divisions. Under this arrangement, all the districts of Bhopal division and Betul have been included in the Bhopal Radio Station. Similarly, the entire Ujjain division has been linked with Indore Radio station. Gwalior besides Sagar division also has been linked with Gwalior and Chhattarpur radio station. The entire Rewa division has been included in Jabalpur, Balaghat and Chhindwara Radio Station.

Under this programme, information of daily arrival and average rates of selected area based mandis will be broadcasted by various Akashwani centers of the state. This arrangement will help farmers to know the actual rates of their produces.-Window To News
