Sahariya Women are Happy to get Amount for Special Nutrition

Bhopal: It may be mentioned that a sum of Rs. One thousand per month is being given by Madhya Pradesh government to each woman of Sahariya tribe under the ‘Kuposhan se Mukti Abhiyan’. After getting the benefit of the scheme, the women of Sahariya tribe are happy that the government besides giving benefits under various schemes is concern and serious about their health. Minister for Public Relations, Water Resources and Parliamentary Affairs Dr. Narottam Mishra inaugurated the scheme at village Neevri of Datia Block recently. Under the scheme an amount of Rs. One thousand per month is being given to each woman to provide special nutritious food to their entire family.

At the time of beginning of the scheme, it was like an atmosphere of celebrations in the village, the women of the village in various groups were discussing about the scheme. When Minister Dr. Mishra handed over the sanction letters of Rs. One thousand to them, they gained confidence that they will now get the sum of Rs. One thousand per month. The amount of Rs. One thousand has been transferred to the bank account of each woman and this will remain continued.

Smt. Somatiya, one of the beneficiary informed that she was already getting wheat, rice and salt at the rate of Re. One per k.g. but she had to arrange money for vegetables and gur etc. separately. Now by this sum, she will be able to give vegetables, gur and milk etc. to make her children healthy. The same happiness was expressed by Shanti Shariya, Mukhi Shariya, Ramo Sahariya, Rajo Sahariya and others too. About 100 women revealing happiness over the scheme, have expressed gratitude towards the Madhya Pradesh Government and the Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan.-Window To News
