‘Mukhya Mantri Saksharta Puraskar’ for Best Work in Literacy Field

Bhopal: The State government has instituted ‘Mukhya Mantri Saksharta Puraskar’ to encourage the field team working in the field of literacy. Five Gram Panchayats, 3 Blocks and One District will be honoured with Mukhya Mantri Saksharta Puraskar for best work in the field of literacy under the Sakshar Bharat Yojana by the State Literacy Mission Authority.

Citation letters and awards will be presented to the organizations of each category. The Gram Panchayats, Blocks, and Districts performing best in the field of literacy can send their applications through speed post at the address of the Director, State Education Center, Pustak Bhavan, B- Wing, Arera Hills, Bhopal by January 25. Detail information about the awards, rules and procedure can be viewed on the website www.educationportal.mp.gov. in of the State Literacy Mission Authority.

It may be mentioned that more than 24 lakh 61 thousand adult illiterate persons succeeded in clearing literacy examinations after the training in Madhya Pradesh in the year 2016-17. About 24 thousand adults have emerged as the new literate persons in the 31 Sansad Adarsh Villages of the state. Madhya Pradesh was honoured with 3 National Literacy Awards last year.-Window To News
