Kiran becomes successful trader from Yuva Udyami Yojana

Bhopal: Smt. Kiran Raikwar of Rajpura in Burhanpur city used to depend on stitching, embroidery etc. from home for a livelihood. She would often wish to get financial assistance from someone so that she could expand her business. At this time she heard about Mukhya Mantri Yuva Udyami Yojana run by Adivasi Vitta Vikas Nigam and contacted the Department of Tribal Development. In a few days Kiran’s case was approved and and she acquired a loan of Rs 15 lakh from Punjab National Bank Gujarati Samaj Market Branch. She got Rs 15 percent grant facility in this loan. 

With this assistance Kiran set up a readymade garment making business. Now Kiran is not only self-reliant but she has given jobs to 25 other women in her business. Government’s Mukhya Mantri Yuva Udyami Yojana has changed the direction and condition of Kiran’s life.

Kiran managed to earn hardly Rs 5 thousand when she stitched at home, but thanks to Mukhya Mantri Yuva Udyami Yojana now she not only pays salary to her women employees but after paying her loan installment and other expenses she manages to earn about Rs 30 thousand per month. Now Kiran is able to fend for her family in a better way.

Kiran has set up modern machines for her garment business. She has started receiving order of stitiching uniforms for school students of neighbouring state Maharashtra. Apart from this, she is also receiving orders of stitching fancy dresses for cuturtal programmes from Burhanpur and nearby cities.-Window To News
