Agriculture Department to get Trained Agriculture Staff

Bhopal: Minister for Farmers Welfare and Agriculture Department Gouri Shankar Bisen said that several decisions have been taken by the department to double the farmers' income by 2022 in the state. In this connection, a decision has been taken by the department to give bonus points to the contractual employees working in Atma Project and National Food Security Mission on the posts of 767 senior agriculture expansion officers and rural agriculture expansion officers through Vyapam. This decision will facilitate the department in getting trained agriculture staff.

It may be mentioned that agriculture workers were working in the agriculture department on contractual basis since 2008-09. A demand to give bonus points on the posts under the direct recruitment had been made by the Agriculture Officers Association and these employees since last few years. The Minister Bisen informed that 2 points on complete each year service and maximum 10 points in the form of bonus points will be given on completion of 5 years service or above to the employees working in the projects of the Union Government on the posts of Agriculture Expansion Officers and Rural Agriculture Expansion Officers under the direct Recruitment.

Office Bearers of Madhya Pradesh Agriculture Development Officers Association met Minister Gouri Shankar Bisen today and expressed gratitude towards him and the Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan for this decision.
