National conference “Nutricon-2018” on nutritional disorders from today
Bhopal: Nutritional meals is of utmost importance for good health. While less nutritious meals are a source of diseases resulting from malnutrition, over nutrition too can pose health risks which includes diseases like cancer, diabetes, obesity, heart disease etc. A two-day national conference ‘Nutricon-2018’ is being organised on January 19 and January 20, 2018 in Bhopal for brainstorming on proper nutrition. Well-known subject experts of the country will take part in 16 scientific sessions.

Principal Secretary AYUSH Smt. Shikha Dubey told that the conference focussed on ‘Management of Nutritional Disorders-Challenges and Scope’ will include discussion on topics like nutritional disorders found in children and adolescent girls and their management, nutrition related issues in pregnant women, diseases resulting from over nutrition, scope of nutraceuticals, under and over nutrition related complications and nutrition and health during old age. As many as 53 experts of national and international level experts are taking part in the two-day event. Nearly 348 research papers have been received for the conference out of which 135 papers will be presented during the sessions and 228 poster presentations will be made with 38 main lectures.
An Ayurveda based nutritious meal fair ‘Nutrifest’ is also being organised during the conference. People will be given information about the foods worth eating and vice versa through the food items at the fair.
Health Minister Rustum Singh to inaugurate
Public Health and Family Welfare Minister Rustum Singh will inaugurate the national conference at RCVP Noronha Academy of Administration and Management on January 19 at 11 am. Nutricon-2018 is being organised by AYUSH Department, National AYUSH Mission and Pandit Khushilal Sharma Government Ayurved Sansthan Bhopal.-Window To News
