Shanti Bai got rid of Smoke due to Ujjawala Yojana

Bhopal: Shanti Bai, the poor woman of Sanchi district Raisen used to carry wood from jungle to prepare food for her family. Many times, she used to blow air from her mouth to manage the chulha's fire as it used to extinguish again and again owing to wet wood, resulting in pain to her lungs. Moreover, the smoke of wood was also causing damage to her health.
The Pradhan Mantri Ujjawala Yojana has eliminated the problem of numerous poor women, who were suffering from the chulha's smoke. A free cooking gas connection has been provided to Shanti Bai under the scheme. Her health has improved now and she has become free from the trouble of collecting woods from the jungle.
Owing to free gas connection under the Ujjawala Yojana, Shanti Bai not only got rid of smoke and suffocation but the cooking has become very easy for her. Observing gas stoves at other houses, Shanti Bai always wanted to have a gas connection, so that she could prepare food fast like others. This dream of Shanti Bai was realised by the Pradhan Mantri Ujjawala Yojana.
After getting gas connection under the scheme, Shanti Bai now prepares delicious food with less time and goes for her work at the right time. Earlier, she was spending 2 hours to prepare the food and now she cooks food within an hour.
Moreover, she is not storing wood and dung cakes for the entire year. Beside this, she also got rid of the smoke problem, which was discoloring her house.-Window To News
