Total 26 Stop Dams are being Constructed under Bundelkhand Package in Datia District

Bhopal: Under the Bundelkhand Package, the construction work of 26 stop dams is in progress in Datia district. The combined cost of these works is Rs. 1150.22 lakh. This was informed in the review meeting of water conservation works being carried out under the Bundelkhand package. Minister for Water Resources Dr. Narottam Mishra chaired the review meeting.
It was informed that rain water is already being stored in the dam constructed at village Dhanoli of the district. Similarly, other dams are being constructed to provide water in the rural areas for better irrigation. Beside irrigation, sufficient potable water will be made available for rural population, cattle and other domestic works. The villagers are also participating in the water conservation works.-Window To News
