Instructions to give connections with new service cable in Saubhagya Yojana

Bhopal: Principal Secretary Energy I.C.P. Keshri said that a new service cable should be installed in houses of consumers under Saubhagya Yojana, only then the connection will be considered under the scheme. He said that new connections with cable and complete kit will be given under Saubhagya Yojana, wherever electrical material has arrived. Kesri was reviewing departmental activities in a meeting.
The Principal Secretary clearly asked field officers of the power companies that proper and quality electricity supply should be ensured to the families living below poverty line in remote areas and APL families. No lapse will be tolerated in this regard. Cable of good quality should be installed under the Saubhagya Yojana. He said that consumers should be fully satisfied fully under Saubhagya Yojana. If line extension work is required in habitats and villages, it should be completed on priority basis so that hundred percent target under Saubhagya Yojana can be achieved by October.
I.C.P. Keshri underlined a need to launch an awareness campaign for Saubhagya Yojana at panchayat, block and district level. He said that it should be ensured by holding talks with contractors that all construction works should be completed within stipulated time. The Principal Secretary further said that summer season will start from April. For this, pending cases of Nal-Jal Yojana should be redressed immediately so that drinking water problem could not arise in the summer.
Managing Director of M.P. Power Management Company Sanjay Kumar Shukla said that power distribution companies need to improve efficiency in billing system. He said that burnt and faulty metres should be changed on priority in Kolar area of Bhopal. Shukla said that SMS alert should be sent to cent percent consumers.
Campaign should be launched to add mobile number with billing system for this task. He said that mobile number and Aadhar number should be taken at the time giving connection under Saubhagya Yojana.
