Rs. 27.93 Crore Approved for ‘Adhosanrachna Kayakalp’ Abhiyan in Medical Colleges

Bhopal: The state government has chalked out an action plan ‘Adhosanrachna Kayakalp’ under the Quality Reforms programme for all the 6 medical colleges of the state. This action plan will be executed in the form of campaign. An amount of Rs. 27 crore 93 lakh is being made available for this campaign.
The Medical Education Department has allotted Rs. 27.93 crore for the year 2017-18 for the first time for maintenance /repair and renovation work in medical colleges and its affiliated hospitals, hostels and buildings. This amount will be spent to complete fire safety, electricity related works, air-conditioning facility in wards of pediatric and gynecology department, building repair, water proofing, painting and hostel renovation works. Out of the total sanctioned amount of Rs. 27.93 crore, amount of Rs. 2.30 crore, Rs. 2.47 crore, Rs. 2.43 crore, Rs. 5.37 crore and Rs. 11.33 crore has been released to Medical Colleges of Bhopal, Indore, Gwalior, Rewa, and Jabalpur respectively. Beside this, an amount of Rs. 3.83 crore has been released for the maintenance work of Sagar Medical College.
Moreover, the state government has introduced the best system for sanitation, security and manpower in the wards with the cooperation of the undertaking of Government of India. A remarkable improvement is being reflected in the hospitals’ condition under this arrangement. ‘Third Party’ inspection system is being introduced shortly by the government for correct assessment of facilities provided to the patients in the hospitals. This will help Medical College Hospitals to become clean like private hospitals.-Window To News
